To learn from the stones
‘To learn from the stones’ was proposed as an immersion on the desert to explore the possibilities of learning between the human and the stones. Inspired by the poem ‘Education by the Stones, from the brazilian João Cabral de Melo Neto, the project was created in a collaboration between the artists Rafael Machado e Túlio Rosa, and developed through the residency Barda del Desierto #0, on the village Contralmirante Cordero, in the region of Patagonia, Argentina, in January of 2014.
The project is composed by the photography serie «Ficções para um deserto» [Ficctions for the desert], the installation «Água quando banha pedra» [When the water wash the stones], and
the video «Estudo por uma encarnadura concreta» [A study for a concrete embodiment].
